Nice Premium partners with “Les Petits Frères des Pauvres” to combat the exclusion of the elderly.

Latest News

Home visits, meetings, outings… To highlight the cause of our elderly, the editorial team has decided to join forces with the Petits Frères des Pauvres for an exclusive collaboration.

To date, the PFPs have about sixty volunteers working almost daily in the territories of Nice and its surrounding communities. From weekly visits to organizing activities and vacation stays, the Côte d’Azur branch of the association spares no effort to bring comfort to those in precarious situations, many of whom are marginalized in society. Building on this commitment, the foundation is recruiting civic service volunteers in the coming weeks, offering young people an unforgettable experience.

On its side, made possible by its volunteers, which include an editor-in-chief, civic service members, interns, and trainees, Nice Premium is also the result of a collaborative effort. As an associative media, the possibility of establishing a partnership to promote the non-isolation of the elderly seemed natural, if not essential, from the editorial team’s perspective, given the challenges related to the senior age group.

A collaboration that spans the ages

Are you ready? Let’s go. You will follow Aline, who was formerly engaged in the humanitarian field and who can now count on the association’s support. Cultured and well-read, she has built a solid reputation over time, and the octogenarian enthusiastically jumped on board when she was offered the opportunity to write an article. “An experience of a lifetime,” she shared with us about it. It should be noted that during a first introductory workshop presenting the profession of journalism, our future editor was also accompanied by Michelle, who unfortunately could not continue the journey with us.

Nevertheless, the idea of visiting Parc Phoenix for inspiration quickly emerged. A simple idea among many others, but one that turned out to be extraordinarily wise. Initially dubious, it was the first time the Niçoise visited the famous botanical and zoological park on the Côte d’Azur. Consequently, her article will revolve around her impressions of the afternoon spent admiring the fauna and flora of the garden, accompanied by two young journalists and Anaïs, co-manager of the Petits Frères des Pauvres…

Don’t miss Aline’s adventures, coming soon in our columns!
