Starting in January 2025, stand-up workshops are being offered in Nice. The best stand-up comedians will have the opportunity to participate in a MasterClass during the Jubil Festival. An opportunity to take part in an unprecedented comedy adventure.
The Jubil Festival will take place for the first time in October 2025 under the direction of Gad Elmaleh and Grégoire Furrer. Comedy and theater enthusiasts over 16 years old can participate in auditions starting now. To register, you must prepare a 5 to 7 minute performance and provide an artistic CV accompanied by a photo. The auditions will allow you to join a training session between January and May 2025.
Classes will take place on Wednesday evenings, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., excluding school holidays, as part of the National Theater of Nice (TNN). Registered participants will also receive tickets for two shows from the TNN’s 2024/25 programming, subject to availability.
A first selection will be made on the evening of the auditions, January 25. Selected candidates will participate in a masterclass the next day, in the Franciscains room, led by the directors of the Comedy Academy.
Training to shine on stage at the Jubil Festival
After the training, a final selection will determine the talents who will join a week of advanced training during the Jubil Festival in October 2025. This session will be led by recognized professionals.
The Jubil Festival, first edition of an international event, will bring together established comedians and young talent from around the world. From October 4-9, 2025, Nice will vibrate to the rhythm of humor, with shows, workshops and meetings. Among the highlights, three galas will be presented by Gad Elmaleh, including one in English at the Palais Nikaïa.
