Nice and Netanya have been twin cities since 1968. This twinning agreement is one of the oldest between Nice and its “sister” cities.
The friendly and cooperative relationships between the two cities have been fruitful in many areas, particularly culture, education and higher education, Francophonie, the environment and sustainable development, sports, and health.
Exchanges have significantly developed and fit within the framework of decentralized Franco-Israeli cooperation, with the ambition to create Euro-Mediterranean synergies in the areas of environment and sustainable development.
“Mare Nostrum: a project for tomorrow,” the first Nice-Netanya scientific colloquium organized by the Netanya Academic College and the City of Nice, will be held this Thursday, April 24, at the Mediterranean University Center.
This event will bring together many French and Israeli experts, researchers, and academics, allowing for different viewpoints to be confronted and discussing necessary actions in sustainable development and renewable energies to preserve our resources and Mediterranean environment.
