The reaction of the Radical Party 06, chaired by Hervé Cael, is commendably clear: “We hope he will lead the best possible public action, in the interest of our country, which is facing an unprecedented economic, moral, civic, and security crisis,” said its president.
The continuation follows the same line, as can be read in the following statement:
“More than a sign of openness, as we have known with François Mitterrand and then Nicolas Sarkozy, this choice should free the vote of the French in the legislative elections. Faced with the populism of the National Front and La France Insoumise, it is possible to defend our republican pact and our place in the new world by voting for candidates from the right and center supported by the UDI and LR.
This is the only way to create an open majority, finally detached from old partisan reflexes. A majority of national interest that will know how to conduct essential transformations and make this five-year term a useful period for our country.
Only the French will choose the path of recovery and of France on June 11 and 18. The Radical Party, within the UDI, will defend its proposals with the firm intention of constructive action in the new National Assembly.”
