Progress never stops. French football clubs now have the opportunity to improve their administrative and sports management methods.
The talkative general director of the My Coach app, Thomas de Pariente, presents an original system that any football coach can acquire.
Thomas de Pariente, how did the project My Coach come to be?
- The project started two and a half years ago. As an anecdote: a coach from the region – whose name I shall keep confidential – complained about having lost a paper file where he had kept all his statistics, etc. From there, we realized that coaches and presidents are dependent on their data.
Is this application intended only for professional clubs?
- No. Today, one third of the clubs from the Côte d’Azur, including the professional Cannes (CFA), Nice (L 1), and Monaco (L 2), have My Coach. Of course, certified coaches (who are increasingly sought after) have a proven taste for optimized management. That said, those who work in well-informed amateur clubs are also interested. They can access a wealth of advice on team management. They have access to a training module with 550 advisory sheets suitable for all levels and ages.
Which Ligue 1 coaches have My Coach?
- Our sponsor, Eric Roy (OGC Nice), and Rennes’ physical trainer Nicolas Dyon (one of My Coach’s experts) are subscribed*. They will soon be joined by Roland Courbis, Luis Fernandez, and also Hugo Lloris [editor’s note: former goalkeeper of Gym, now in Lyon].
Is there a development strategy?
- Of course. We are a new company with new methods and a new approach. Barriers? We have none. They shatter after the trial (sic). Two-thirds of France has adopted My Coach [editor’s note: six new distributors yesterday]. By the end of August, we will have covered the entire territory.
