In 2011, more than 8,000 people subscribed to the Cinémathèque de Nice, which recorded 52,768 admissions for the 914 screenings offered (478 films were programmed).

The unmissable event at the Cinémathèque will undoubtedly be the “Conversation” with Michèle Mercier organized on Saturday, February 4 at 6:30 PM and hosted by Henry-Jean Servat. The unforgettable Marquise des Anges will meet the public before the preview screening of the documentary “Michèle Mercier l’Insoumise” by Jean-Yves Guilleux, who will also be present at this exceptional event.
You can also immerse yourself in the world of Marcel Pagnol with screenings of his films or adaptations made by other filmmakers (Marius, César, Fanny, The Baker’s Wife, Topaze, My Father’s Glory…) A cinematographic tribute echoing the colloquium “Passion Pagnol” which will take place at the Mediterranean University Center on January 27 and 28.
The Brian De Palma retrospective will feature 18 films, offering a look back at one of the major authors of contemporary American cinema. As part of this cycle, on January 11 at 7:30 PM, before the screening of the film “Blow Out,” Jean Douchet, known as the “Pope” of film analysis, will provide his insightful analyses of the director’s work.
