This Sunday, May 5th, the cultural association LOU PEUY is organizing its traditional Spring Festival in the heart of the Paillon Valley.
Departure is at 8:30 AM in front of the war memorial in Contes for a walk along the communal paths towards the Sainte Hélène chapel in Sclos de Contes. There will be hospitable stops at local residents’ places where refreshments and drinks will be offered, all in a very friendly atmosphere.
At 12 PM, the town of Contes offers an honorary aperitif to all hikers and the population in the magnificent communal park of Sainte Hélène.
A countryside buffet prepared by the association’s volunteers includes olive-oil pans bagnats from the region, grilled foods, and pastries. Musical entertainment is provided by the group “Cool’Musette.” Dancing on the lawn is encouraged!
The essential free distribution of apple fritters, whose recipe is jealously guarded, concludes the afternoon, followed by the drawing of the raffle.
