On Friday, February 7 at 7 PM at the Maison du Terroir in Rouret, four professionals are coming together for a roundtable to present the benefits of animals for vulnerable individuals. This is an original and effective practice, still relatively unknown.

Drawing on their skills and passions, which they use daily in the service of others, the speakers will share the undeniable contributions of animal-assisted therapy and offer you the chance to meet therapy animals!

Improvements in memory, motor skills, and quality of life for the sick or the elderly, helping children discover the animal world and gain self-confidence, reducing animal phobias and preventing bites, tailored work in building relationships and supporting children, seniors, or disabled individuals, fostering calm, self-esteem, and serenity… Animal-assisted therapy, whether conducted in healthcare settings or in a family context, can achieve very interesting therapeutic goals and remarkable levels of well-being!

The Participants:

Nathalie Chardeyron (Via’nimaux) is a professional in animal-assisted therapy. Author of a book on animal-assisted therapy, she works with her animals in various healthcare facilities, nursing homes, long-stay centers, working with diverse groups (children with multiple disabilities, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, etc.)

Anaïs Haas Desvillettes is a clinical psychologist at the EHPAD “Les jardins d’Anaïs” in Valbonne.

Marjolaine Cretet is an activity leader at an EHPAD in the IGH group.

Olivier Courdoisy (Centre Azur Canin) has been a canine educator in Vallauris for over 15 years. He has contributed to training therapy animals.
