The Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry positions itself as a key player in the industry thanks to the activities of its Film Commission, whose president is David Lisnard (Mayor of Cannes and President of the CRT Côte d’Azur) and Vice-President Michel Tschann (president of Nice’s hoteliers).
This commission acts as a hub for hosting film productions in the 06 area. The positive figures from 2015 indicate promising prospects for 2016.
A major goal is to enhance the value of the region through the promotion of the “Côte d’Azur, Land of Filming” label, and the signing of the Partnership Convention between the Film Commission and the CRT Côte d’Azur aligns with this objective.
The significant increase in TV series and standalone film productions in the Alpes-Maritimes (+16% compared to 2014) generates major direct and indirect impacts, notably boosting tourism thanks to series such as “Section de Recherches,” “La Vengeance aux Yeux Clairs,” having a strong effect on employment.
