The municipal council (November 2018) established the framework for a simplified system that ensures fair treatment for street artists wishing to perform within the designated tourist excellence area.
This system aims to maintain a balance between respecting public tranquility and the freedom of expression for artists. It also guarantees that artists can express themselves under good conditions.
The tourist excellence area mainly covers the entire city center and the Promenade des Anglais. Within this area, 18 authorized spaces are available to accommodate street artists.
