Latest News

With 138 athletes, the French delegation can rely on its headliners who have already made history in Rio in 2016 and in London in 2012, as well as newcomers who, for their first Games, have the potential to shine in Tokyo.

The Alpes-Maritimes will be represented by Florent Marais, 21 years old, who is affiliated with the Swimming Club of Antibes. Born with agenesis of the right leg, Florent Marais has no calf or fibula and has two toes on that leg.

After winning 28 medals at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, which placed France 12th in the world, the French delegation has set the ambitious goal of bringing back 35 medals.

Which athletes are predicted to have chances for a gold medal?

Here they are:

Para-athletics: Marie-Amรฉlie Le Fur, going for a fourth title to retire with honor; Mandy Franรงois-Elie seeking her revenge; Nantenin Keรฏta, aiming for a double win.
