Challenge N3 of torball: a sport of cooperation and kindness

Latest News

About sixty spectators of all ages were present all day Saturday to watch the Men’s N3 Torball Challenge, a competition in which six teams from all over France competed. The teams from Lyon, Mulhouse, Le Mans, Poitiers, Toulouse, and Nice were in the running at the Albert Malatesta sports complex. Sébastien Filippini, president of the ANICES association, organized the event. “This is already the fifteenth competition we’ve organized, with three a year.”

It’s nothing compared to the 450 spectators who attended the first international men’s and women’s tournament held in this same hall two months ago, but these spectators were present, “often regulars,” notes Sébastien.

Support, harmony, and sharing are the keywords of this sport. The littlest ones could practice between the matches of the teams.

During the matches, absolute silence is requested, for obvious listening reasons. The ball equipped with a bell must be audible to the players. But during stoppages, cheers of joy and encouragement rang out. The players gave their all for their teams.

But always in fair play with the opposing team. A true family spirit.

On the field side, it was the team from Poitiers that won the tournament after their 4-1 victory in the last match of the day.
