It’s on again. After passing the Auxerre test in the previous round, the Aiglons will face the Girondins de Bordeaux this Saturday in the round of 32 of the Coupe de France.
A one-sided match? 15th in Ligue 2, the Bordeaux team has shown a form far from convincing in recent weeks. Albert Riera’s squad struggles to compete with its rivals this season and is only 5 points from the relegation zone. Nice is doing much better on their side. Still the runner-up to PSG in the top flight, the team is coming off a defeat at Rennes outside of the league last weekend.
Finally some reinforcements
With the players at the African Cup of Nations (Boudaoui, Boga, Atal, and Moffi) absent, only Romain Perraud (thigh) is out for this round of 32 against Bordeaux. A boon for Francesco Farioli, who can, along with the returns of Thuram (knee), Diop (foot), and Todibo (suspension), rely on the new arrival Mohamed Ali Cho. Valentin Rosier will remain in the south to continue his physical reconditioning.
