Nicole Kidman, who will turn 50 next month, is the star par excellence at the Cannes Festival this year.
In addition to her already impressive career, the Australian actress is present with four films at the festival this year. “I am at a stage in my life where I want to make it seem like I am 21 years old and just starting my career,” Kidman told reporters on Monday. “I want to try new things and support directors I believe in.”
This Monday with Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos, she presented the film *The Killing of a Sacred Deer*, a family drama featuring Colin Farrell and Alicia Silverstone.
The other event of the evening was the return of former U.S. Vice President Al Gore to the Croisette with the film by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk *An Inconvenient Sequel*.
This is the sequel to the impactful film *An Inconvenient Truth*, where viewers can see Gore tirelessly continue his fight to form an army of climate defenders and exert his influence on international climate policy. Presented in a special screening, it will be released in theaters in November.
