OGC Nice: The transfer market update of the week

Latest News

As every Sunday, we bring you the latest news from the Nice transfer market. With a few days left until the transfer window closes, the Gym still has work to do.

The third signing of OGC Nice is finally known! This Thursday, the Gym officially announced the arrival of a new central defender: Moรฏse Bombito. The Canadian international joins from Colorado and MLS. Good news for Franck Haise, the defender is already included in the red and black squad to face Toulouse.

In the same position, the Gym continues to strengthen to compensate for the departure of J-C Todibo. As announced for several weeks, Mohamed Abdelmonem is expected to join the Cรดte d’Azur. The Aiglons have an agreement with his club, Al-Ahly. The operation was delayed due to a visa issue for the Egyptian player. However, the defender’s transfer will be officially announced in the coming days.

Guessand extends stay with the Aiglons

A true product of the youth academy, Evann Guessand extends his journey with Nice. The striker is now tied to OGC Nice until 2028. โ€œI will continue to work like crazy to be even more decisive and help the Club to succeed. I deeply love OGC Nice, where I arrived when I was 12 years old. My ambition and my wish are for us to go as high as possible together,โ€ he declared.

But according to information from L’ร‰quipe, discussions have not progressed for an extension for Marcin Bulka. Nice officials are more optimistic regarding Antoine Mendy, with an agreement close to being reached. Finally, Jordan Lotomba is considering a departure, with one year left on his contract. The club may not be keen on letting him go.

Several options to strengthen the attack

After the long absences of Terem Moffi (cruciate ligaments) and Gaรซtan Laborde (fracture in the foot), the Gym wants to strengthen its attack. Several options have already been discussed. This includes Memphis Depay, Yusuf Yazici, and Wissam Ben Yedder. The three attacking players have the advantage of being free agents.

According to our colleagues at Nice-Matin, Neal Maupay wants to join OGC Nice. His club, Everton, is willing to let him go. So far, the Gym has not followed up on this interest. But Laborde’s recent injury could change the scenario.
