Trotting races, entertainment, shows, and fireworks will animate the summer in Cagnes-sur-Mer.
The Hippodrome Côte d’Azur is kicking off its summer season this Monday evening with the first night of “Les Nuits d’Été.” Until the end of August, trotting races are organized three times a week, in a format that combines horse racing competition with public entertainment.
A program rich in festivities
In total, 22 meetings are scheduled for the summer. 16 will be held at night, and 6 in semi-nocturnal sessions. 11 meetings carry the “premium” label, ensuring them wider broadcasting to bettors. 8 evenings are organized in association with partner communities or institutions, and 4 will focus on specific themes. Additionally, 10 fireworks displays are announced throughout the season.
Tonight’s program includes 7 races, with the first scheduled for 7:10 PM. Between the events, several activities will keep the evening lively. The public can enjoy dance performances, a country show, and a final fireworks display. There is also an entertainment lineup for children, featuring pony rides, a sports course, trampolines, creative workshops on biodiversity, golf initiation, and bike-sulky races.
This year, the hippodrome is introducing online ticketing to facilitate access to the event. Admission is set at five euros, free for those under 18. Parking remains freely accessible. Dining options will be available on-site, with a snack bar and food trucks.
In any case, don’t miss: Wednesday, July 9, the Comité Départemental d’Équitation des Alpes-Maritimes is organizing the evening “À Cheval 06 – La Nocturne” with many initiation sessions planned. Saturday, July 12, head to the hippodrome for one of the summer’s highlights with the “Cagnes-sur-Mer” evening, featuring a 45-minute show for the audience.
