Concerts, theater, exhibitions—here’s what awaits you this summer in Nice.

Latest News

The city of Nice has launched its 2025 summer season with a rich program accessible to all. Exhibitions, music, theater, screenings, workshops: until August 23, events take place throughout the city, from the center to the neighborhoods.

The summer season kicked off in Nice as early as June. Represented by activities around the UNOC, such as the 2025 drone show that lit up the sky of Nice, the festivities will continue until the end of August. The city is now unfolding a diverse program.

Film screenings are taking place throughout the city. Every Wednesday evening at 9:30 PM, on the Quai de la Douane, the Cinémathèque de Nice offers a “blue program” focused on the sea and oceans. Next to it, a cinema trail is organized in the neighborhoods with public screenings: Gladiator, Les Visiteurs, Moana, Asterix

Several free theatrical evenings are also scheduled, in schools or gardens. On July 5 in Saint-Roman-de-Bellet, July 26 in the Louis-Pin garden, and August 9 in the Arson garden. Professional actors perform the shows.

On the music side, nine evenings are planned in public places. From pop-rock to guinguette ball to Latin music, each garden or neighborhood square becomes a concert stage. The dates spread out until August 5.

In museums too, summer is active. The Biennale of Arts and the Ocean brings together eleven exhibitions. The Matisse Museum highlights the links between the artist and the Mediterranean. The Masséna Museum explores the historical relationship between Nice and the sea. At 109, an immersive installation by Ugo Schiavi plunges visitors into the abyssal depths.

Activities for a diverse audience

Libraries play a central role in this program. From July 8 to 25, they step outside their walls with “The Library Under the Trees.” Readings, games, and workshops are offered in various parks in the city. Specific activities are planned for children, such as creative workshops at the Magnan Library, or “The Word Trunk,” a program to introduce reading at Ariane.

For Japanese culture enthusiasts, the “Manga Days” will take place on July 11 and 12 at the Raoul Mille Library. Meetings, workshops, quizzes, cosplay parades… The event is for all ages.

Seniors are not forgotten: grand balls, guided tours, discounted cinema sessions, sports activities, and cultural workshops. The senior centers remain open all summer with a program of daily activities.

Finally, the Nice Jazz Fest OFF transforms the streets into open stages. From July 1 to 27, nearly 100 artists perform in the metropolis. The main festival, meanwhile, will take place from July 24 to 27, with artists like Raye, -M-, Jorja Smith, and The Cookers.

The summer season promises to be both dense and varied, with most activities largely free. Until the end of August, culture will be in the streets.
