From October 31, 2026, the Nice-based artist Virginie Broquet will take over the Anatole Jakovsky International Museum of Naïve Art in Nice for a series of meetings and workshops around her creative world. An opportunity for visitors, particularly families, to discover her work before picking up the pencil themselves.

“My Life, My View”, a look at everyday life

At the heart of this residency titled “Intimate Inspiration,” Virginie Broquet returns to “My Life, My View,” a series created during the pandemic. Starting from the same black and white matrix representing the view from her window, the artist composed 200 colorized variations on tablet, day after day.

This approach poses a simple question: how can we renew our perspective and continue to create when the horizon narrows? The museum meetings invite the public to explore this idea through the works presented and exchange with the artist.

Four family workshops

Each session will include a short visit and presentation of the works, followed by hands-on practice: participants will be invited to draw the view from the museum’s balcony.
