The 8th Nice Beach Volley Open will be held on Saturday, July 1st, and Sunday, July 2nd at Ponchettes Beach. This competition will gather the best French 3×3 beach volleyball players throughout the weekend, featuring around fifty athletes from all over France.
Expect sports, entertainment, sun, and sunbathing in a “sea and sun” spirit, and it’s all free! Beach volleyball is a sport played at a high pace with blocks, smashes, and miraculous receptions following one after another.
Sixteen teams will participate in this 3×3 men’s tournament.
Among the present players, notable participants include Bruno Chateau, 2006 French champion with Paris Volley, Olivier Conte, 2004 French Beach Volleyball Champion, Pascal Ragondet and Jérôme Corda, two players from Nice Volley Ball, Philippe Barca Cysique and Mathias Patin, bronze medalists at the 2002 World Championships, silver medalists at the Euro 2003, and 9th at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
Additionally, numerous activities are planned throughout the weekend: games, free lottery, DJ, … A large audience is expected to attend the 45 matches and experience the lively exchanges. 600 seats in the stands are available for spectators.
Program:
– Friday from 14:30: partners’ tournament.
– Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00: main tournament (group stage)
– Sunday from 9:30 to 18:00: end of group matches, quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals around 17:30 followed by the awards ceremony.
