The Consulate General of Italy in Nice, the Committee of Italians Abroad (Com.It.ES), in collaboration with the Ferdinando Santi Institute of Palermo, are pleased to invite you to the conference-debate:
“Garibaldi and the Italian Constitution: from the Albertine Statute to the Constitution of the Roman Republic, from
Marsala to the Volturno towards a united Europe and a world of peace”
This conference-debate will take place at the “Michelangelo” Hall of the Consulate General of Italy located at 72, bd Gambetta in Nice, this Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 6 PM, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the union of Nice with France, a political-diplomatic condition of the agreement between the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia and France under Napoleon III for Italian unity.
The evening will conclude with a tasting of typical Sicilian products.
The following day, Wednesday, May 12 at 7 PM, the Cultural Theatrical Association “L’Armonia” from Cefalù will present the play entitled: “L’Eredità dello Zio Canonico”
(in Sicilian with French subtitles) at the “Michelangelo” Hall of the Italian Consulate General in Nice.
At the end of the performance, the Fernando SANTI Institute of Palermo will offer a tasting of wines and Sicilian specialties.
