Handi Voile 06: the nautical event for inclusion returns in June

Latest News

From June 2 to 28, 2025, the 19th edition of the Handi Voile 06 Tour offers free nautical activities for people with disabilities. Nine municipalities in the Alpes-Maritimes region will host the event.

The Handi Voile 06 Tour is returning for a new circuit along the Azure coast. This initiative, launched by the Alpes-Maritimes Department in partnership with the Departmental Sailing Committee, nautical bases, SPCOC canoeing-kayaking, and the host municipalities, will take place from June 2 to 28. Sailing and kayaking will be showcased on the handi-beaches and in the nautical centers of nine cities: Cap-dโ€™Ail, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Menton, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes, Vallauris Golfe-Juan, Mandelieu-La Napoule, and Cannes.

The activities are free of charge. They are aimed at people with disabilities and their families. Four one-hour sessions are offered each day. The outings are supervised by certified instructors.

Since its inception in 2006, Handi Voile 06 has enabled nearly 11,000 participants to have a sea experience. This action is part of a broader policy promoting sports accessible to all. “Sports should be accessible to everyone,” emphasizes Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, President of the Department.

There are still spots available

To participate, registration is mandatory and limited to four people per family. Registration has been open since April 15 on the Department’s website through the MesDรฉmarches06 platform. A form must be filled out online or in person. The initiative offers around a hundred places each day.

Meanwhile, 50 specialized organizations benefit from supervised sessions all year round at seven partner nautical bases. Approximately 600 people are involved each year.
