Julien Colombani, a researcher in developmental biology and a CNRS research officer, has received the CNRS bronze medal.
This award represents encouragement from the CNRS to continue well-initiated and already fruitful research.
Julien Colombani’s work concerns the physiology of tissue growth.
Recruited in 2007 as a research officer at the Institute of Biology of Valrose (IBV) in Nice, Julien Colombani is conducting highly innovative scientific work within the team of Pierre Lรฉopold.
The researcher has conducted several genetic screens aimed at identifying new regulators of tissue growth.
In 2015, Julien Colombani published a study in Nature on the involvement of this gene in tumor development. Furthermore, he obtained a Project ARC Foundation grant in 2013, which attests to the innovative aspect of his research.
