Unfortunately for the eaglets, a match lasts 90 minutes and not 79. Guilty of a lapse, Éric Roy’s men saw their opponents score three times in ten minutes. Final score: 3 – 3. A score that doesn’t necessarily help Boulogne, who are almost relegated to Ligue 2. A score without consequence for Nice as well: their stay in the league was already secured since Tuesday evening.
While the eaglets will officially play in Ligue 1 next season, they owe it to the draw between Monaco and Le Mans 1 – 1 this week. A result that ensures Nice a sufficient lead to stay up. But the players also owe it to their fine form since Éric Roy took over as coach.
