The holding of the Paris‑Nice cycling race requires significant traffic management in Nice. Several roads in the city center and western areas will be affected on Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, 2026. The announced measures include traffic closures, temporary interruptions, parking restrictions and access modifications to certain car parks.

The municipality is implementing these restrictions to ensure the organization of the stages and the safety of the public and riders. The measures particularly concern the Promenade des Anglais, the Old Town sector and the areas around the Allianz Riviera.

A Saturday marked by starts on the Promenade des Anglais

Saturday, March 14 opens with the start of the Paris-Nice Challenge. The start is scheduled between 7:30 and 8:30 am on the north lane of the Promenade des Anglais facing the Centenary. The team presentation then takes place between 10:10 and 11:10 am on the Quai des États-Unis.

Several adjacent streets are included in the perimeter, notably Rue Bréa and Rue Van Loo. The Quais des États-Unis and Rauba Capeu will be closed from Place Guynemer. An exception applies to vehicles leaving Rue des Ponchettes, authorized to access the port, as well as vehicles accessing Sulzer car park from the port.

Between 11 am and 12 pm, traffic will be temporarily interrupted on the entire Promenade des Anglais, on its central axes and on all roads leading onto it. The south lane will also be interrupted between Magnan tunnel and Rue Honoré Sauvan.

The organizers clarify that traffic may be temporarily interrupted at all intersections located upstream of the race route.

Access to the Old Town will be modified during the same period. Entry will be via Descente Crotti. Exits will remain possible via Descente Escoffier and Rue des Ponchettes towards the port.

Restrictions around Allianz Riviera on Sunday

On Sunday, March 15, activities mainly concern the western sector of the city. The festivities and start of the final stage take place around Allianz Riviera.
