This Thursday evening, the Gardens of Villa Masséna in Nice hosted the Grand Evening of Associative Commitment. On this occasion, Christian Estrosi, mayor of Nice, presented awards to 105 citizens of Nice for their community engagement.
Last February, the City of Nice launched the “super volunteer” platform, an initiative aimed at highlighting the commitment of its citizens in service to the community. This platform collected 175 applications, of which 105 were selected after an analysis of the applications by the Association for the Encouragement of Deserving Volunteers.
These 105 volunteers were honored at the ceremony, and their spirit of solidarity and mutual aid was celebrated. Christian Estrosi wished to commend the different awardees of the evening: “You are a great diversity tonight, you work in different fields: culture, sports…”. They were honored for their commitment. Christian Estrosi then presented them with the following medals:
- 70 silver medals: for volunteers who have demonstrated sustained and significant commitment.
- 23 gold medals: for those whose dedication has had a particularly significant impact.
- 12 golden zeniths: the most prestigious distinction, reserved for volunteers whose commitment is exemplary and unmatched.
