The National Meetings of Music Librarians at the Théâtre Gag

Latest News

Monday, March 13 & Tuesday, March 14 at the Louis Nucéra Library – Francis Gag Theater

Since 2001, the Association for the Cooperation of Musical Information Professionals (ACIM) has organized the National Meetings of Music Librarians each year in a different city. This year, ACIM has chosen Nice to host these meetings!

The Louis Nucéra Library and the Francis Gag Theater will have the honor of hosting conferences, workshops, and round tables on the theme of “enhancement and mediation of musical heritage in libraries.”

Nice and its library network preserve one of the largest French collections of vinyl records and 78s.

Thanks to significant digitization efforts of these precious documents over the past few years, it is now possible to freely and openly access over 1,500 digitized records (focused on opera performers) on the BMVR Nice internet portal www.bmvr.nice.fr

This event will provide the opportunity to further highlight the work of heritage conservation within the City of Nice and to engage with professionals from all over France.
