A new week begins for the Summer Evenings with jazz, traditional music, and theater among other thingsโฆ
Violin Summit, on July 13 in Cabris, July 14 in La Bollรจne-Vรฉsubie, and July 15 in Aspremont. Franรงois Arnaud invites Jean-Christophe Gairard in a high-flying duet.
These two exceptional violinists share music by Stรฉphane Grappelli, Jean-Luc Ponty, and Django Reinhardt with us. A demonstration of jazz violin in all its splendor. Featuring Jean-Yves Candela on piano, Christian Pachiaudi on double bass, and Alain Asplanato on drums, the best of the musicians from the Azure Coastโฆ
Denia Ridley Quartet, on July 12 in Castillon, and July 13 in Saint-Blaise. Denia Ridley is a talented American singer who performs with a lot of feeling in an elegant and very bluesy style, the greatest classics of the jazz repertoire reminiscent of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, or Carmen McRae. For this occasion, she will be accompanied by a trio composed of รric Alberti on piano, Tony Brayer on drums, and Jack Sewing on double bass.
Lu Rauba Capeรน, on July 14 in Tourrette-Levens, and July 15 in Daluis. โSoun lu Capeรน que sโen tournonโฆโ oh yes! Lu Rauba Capeรน return once more, as their great pleasure is to wander through the villages and valleys of the former County of Nice in all directions. Inspired by the name of the Nice coastal area, this band was born from the meeting of the Casagrande brothers, Sylvain and Renaud, Xavier Borriglione, and Jean Clรฉricy.
From this meeting, a sound was born, as new as it is authentic: driven by an energetic drum with sustained bass, the accordions and voices express all their dancing dynamism. The fife, for its part, adds rhythmic and melodic lightness in the high notes that complete the ensemble.
Xavier Borriglione, on July 15 in Clans. โQue braiร mi meti?โ In this humorous and humanistic one-man show from the high Nice region, Xavier Borriglione, actor and musician, introduces us to Toinou, an old shepherd and fife player from Vรฉsubie, who leads a simple and peaceful life, sitting at the edge of the world in his Gaudissart farm. One day, by chance, his path crosses that of Kamel, a young delinquent from the city. From this unlikely and offbeat encounter, great moments of sharing are born, which Toinou delivers to you through a story that is alternately hilarious, delirious, or moving.
