A Not At All Classic Promenade

Latest News

Running. Panting. Suffering. In short, struggling. A menu that isn’t necessarily delightful and is far from a walk in the park. However, the hardships of the 10 km Prom’ Classic are softened by the view of the deep blue sea.

Mark your new calendars! The most popular sporting event of the early year in Nice is set for Sunday, January 8, 2005.

For this 7th edition, nearly 3000 runners are expected under the sun of the Promenade des Anglais to start the year off on the right foot. This enticing 10 km race attracts more and more runners each year and has managed to retain a high-level athlete roster always ready to come and run one of the most competitive courses in France.

Moreover, the Prom’ Classic has established itself as the essential rendezvous for top champions, but this race also makes the ladies’ hearts race! Indeed, with a start time set 5 minutes before the men, female runners are increasingly numerous each year to run ahead of the gentlemen. In 2005, more than 600 women took up the challenge, and this particularity allowed them to be less hindered at the start and able to cross the finish line first.

As you can see, the Prom’ Classic is the most convivial and festive sporting event at the beginning of the year… But it is also an opportunity to be supportive and participate in awareness-raising for organ donation. In 2005, a great mobilization by the people of Nice had led to many promises of donations. This effort is being repeated this year, hoping that solidarity will once again be part of the celebration!

The appointment is thus set for next Sunday, for a fantastic morning of sport and to erase the excesses of the holiday season!
