This year, Michal, as we announced in a previous article, sees life in black and white with his second opus “Alone with your face.” During the signing session, fans had come from afar to see this former finalist of Star Academy. It must be said that he is very nice and very charming with his Polish accent, but that’s not the only reason Michal “attracts”! Actually, to tell you the truth, it’s his music! “Alone with your face” reveals him in a different light. After the wise image in “Gold and Dust,” Michal turns out to be rock, punk, new wave! A must-discover!
Another album to discover is “Hot Blood” by Lââm, who sees life in pink! Normal for a girl! The artist thus returns with a new album that marks a comeback to her first loves which are soul, groove, and R&B, all seasoned in her own way with her beautiful voice.
Interview with a cool singer with a big heart!
Nice-Premium: Hello Lââm, a new album out!
Lââm: Yes.
Nice-Premium: A very pink album!
Lââm: Yes, very pink (smile). It’s a very 80s groove concept. I was inspired by the music of black American women. I think it’s my best album. It is more cohesive. There are lyrics that touch me a lot.
Nice-Premium: What themes do you address?
Lââm: We addressed very touching themes like domestic violence, social issues. There are also very beautiful love songs.
Nice-Premium: How would you define it?
Lââm: It’s a touching album that brings joy to life because we need cheerfulness and hope.
Nice-Premium: This album, it matches you.
Lââm: Yes, it really resembles me (smile).
Nice-Premium: Which path are you on?
Lââm: The path of hope, of success.
Nice-Premium: What do you believe in?
Lââm: I believe in animals, in my dog when she looks at me. She loves me for real (laughs). Animals don’t lie and my husband too (smile). I believe in sharing and friendship.
Nice-Premium: What does it take to be free?
Lââm: Money.
Nice-Premium: Not just that?
Lââm: Today, yes. When you have a minimum of money, you can do a lot of things.
Nice-Premium: We forgive why?
Lââm: It’s a song Jean-Jacques Goldman wrote for me. It corresponds to a part of my life but I won’t say more. This subject is too sensitive for me. I don’t forgive the harm that has been done to me, but I turn the page.
Nice-Premium: Nobody is safe from what?
Lââm: It’s a song that talks about the homeless. People often say: “People who are on the street, it’s their fault.” But those who end up outside, they don’t really have a choice. Today, anyone can end up on the street, even a CEO. Nobody is safe from ending up on the street. We are safe from nothing.
Nice-Premium: If women led the world, in your opinion what would it be like?
Lââm: As I said in a song, a woman is first and foremost a mother. She might understand people’s problems better. They have more sensitivity, but not all women are good either. If women led the world, there would be more understanding.
Nice-Premium: Do you sing in the morning?
Lââm: Every day I sing. Under my shower and at any time.
Nice-Premium: What are you missing?
Lââm: I have everything. But I’d like to perform at Zénith one day because I’ve never sung there. Maybe for my 10th career anniversary!
Nice-Premium: Who do you sing for?
Lââm: For those who want to listen to me already (laughs). For those who like my songs. For those who find themselves in my songs.
Nice-Premium: Would you have liked to have multiple lives?
Lââm: My husband says that I am a woman with multiple facets because I often change my look. But having multiple lives, no, not necessarily.
Nice-Premium: Have you always dreamed of being a singer?
Lââm: When I was young, it was either singer or prison, so I chose singer. I was badly off in life. I have always wanted to be a singer. Now, I’d like to get into movies.
Nice-Premium: What style?
Lââm: Everything
Nice-Premium: A movie like “Dream Girls” tempts you?
Lââm: Yes, why not, but also committed films, funny films…
Nice-Premium: What is your motto?
Lââm: Never give up.
Nice-Premium: Lââm the singer, but Lââm is also an artist who supports many associations.
Lââm: Yes, I could talk about it for hours. I do quite a lot like many other artists, and I’m happy to be able to do it like many volunteers. This year, I was the godmother of the Secours Populaire.
Nice-Premium: What advice would you give to someone starting in music?
Lââm: That they stop. That they do something else because music is too hard today. I advise them to be a lawyer (laughs). Definitely not to drop out of school. They must continue their studies. But above all to believe in their dreams.
