Exactly 70 years ago, the National Council of Resistance was born. At a time when fascism is once again a pressing issue, L’Eclat invites us to remember the Resistance and the moment of national unity represented by the post-war reconstruction.
Through a series of documentary films that convey the words of lifelong resistants such as Stรฉphane Hessel, Armand Gatti in the documentary The Instinct of Resistance, presented by the filmmaker.
Economist Bernard Friot will recount the birth of the French social system in Days of Hope. Our borders will be crossed to discover, thanks to Ken Loach, the story of post-war Britain, and with Braddock America, the post-industrial fate of an American town.
Gilles Balbastre will show how cinema and its currently threatened economy have indeed played a fundamental role which they continue to play just like the press.
