The objective is clear: to end 18 years of left-wing power without going from bad to worse: the National Front of Marion Le Pen, which Gaël Nofri describes as “a band of minstrels” following the enlistment of the Nice natives Olivier Bettati and Philippe Vardon, whose “common denominator” he questions.
To achieve this, the Mediterranean sovereignist party was ready to participate in the grand gathering mentioned and called for by Christian Estrosi, the right-wing candidate: “but this gathering is not centered around a project and its program*; it’s just to be part of the court of courtiers… or to say yes to everything, so it’s better to be against it,” explains Gaël Nofri to the small committee of supporters who gathered last night to assess the situation.
There will thus be a departmental list that will “support the candidacy of” which we reported in our publication yesterday.
Debout la France aims to be a credible alternative for the right-wing electorate against those seeking, through this election, to advance their careers: Parisian like Christian Estrosi or Marseillaise like Renaud Muselier, who aims for the post-Gaudin era at the Marseille mayor’s office.
Given the balance of power, DLF knows it can only influence the themes of the electoral campaign (it is the party of the Nation-State in the era of globalization) and try to weigh in the debate: the development of territory and its economy will be the primary responsibility of the regions pending the reorganization of local government roles.
Gaël Nofri will be the head of the list, and Sophie Mori, the departmental secretary, will be his second-in-command.
