Fabien Benard, president of the MoDem, has his motto: “To regain the trust of voters, it is essential to design innovative projects, profound changes, new attitudes. This is what the MoDem of the Alpes-Maritimes and the regional coordination PACA dedicate their energy to.” The region must become understandable to all in its actions, close to the citizens; it is a vital democratic challenge.”
The Democratic Movement of the Alpes-Maritimes is holding a series of working meetings for the regional elections. In Nice, the MoDem 06 combines teamwork, subsidiarity, and debates.
During the last Departmental Council in La Gaude, the leaders of the MoDem 06 unanimously voted on a motion requesting a strong position from the National Bureau for the upcoming regional elections in PACA.
At the same time, at the beginning of this summer, the representatives from the Cรดte d’Azur participated in Aix-en-Provence in the first synthesis of the work of the regional coordination for the project.
At the end of this seminar, the representatives of the six departments collectively concluded that each departmental movement would organize a nomination commission to present complete lists, by department, during the month of September.
For Fabien Benard, president of the MoDem 06: “The independent center that we embody positions itself as a reconstructive force around three major axes, essential for the future of our region: moralization of political life, environment, employment. These themes guide the construction of our program. Equity between territories receives all our attention, particularly regarding digital equipment and access to high-speed internet, an essential factor of growth and employment.”
Fabien Benard expresses confidence: “For the moment, without major communication, without a media-identified leading figure and without having rallied our potential allies around the regional project, independent ecologists, civil society, and the ‘innovative’ business world, the Democratic Movement is polling at 5% of voting intentions in the first round of the regional elections at the end of the year. The mobilization of everyone against populism and xenophobia will be decisive.”
