This rally pays tribute to Jean Behra and bears the name of the Nice-born driver with a prestigious career.
Recognized as one of the most beautiful historical regularity events, the rally organized by the Automobile Club of Nice and the Cรดte d’Azur will start on September 9 for 3 days and 700 km, before arriving at the Promenade des Anglais on Sunday, September 11.
The Jean Behra Historic Rally has become a staple of regularity… 3 days of competition, nearly 700 km (with approximately 300 km in regularity zones) traversed across two to three departments depending on the year, with a roadbook highlighting special stages that include legendary routes shared with the greatest vintages of the Monte Carlo Rally.
Not forgetting the very beautiful stages for the loyal crews attending the event and the crossing of often little-known villages of the high Azurean country…
The rally also welcomes a growing number of crews from outside region 06 and abroad, motivated by the quality of its organization and its exceptional course.
A “Tourism” category is also offered for crews wishing to participate in the rally outside of the competition classification, on the same course as the “Regularity” category.

For 20 years now, the Jean Behra Historic Rally has brought together collectible sports cars representing the great brands of the global automotive industry, as well as the rarest ones! Over the course of 3 days, a unique atmosphere develops, shared at each stage with spectators and residents of the towns and villages the rally passes through: sportsmanship, relaxation, conviviality. But also a strict respect for safety.
A route on the most beautiful roads in the Southern Alps, with great classic passes and others less known, 24 special stages in 2016!
The rally alternates between liaison routes and regularity tests on a secret course that changes each year, revealed on the day of departure with the distribution of roadbooks to the crews.
