To address the financial difficulties faced by the association “La Ronde des Clowns,” the city of Nice has announced the granting of a subsidy of 6,000 euros. The goal is to support this organization that helps sick children.
Founded in 1989, the Nice-based association “La Ronde des Clowns” operates throughout the year in various departments of Lenval Hospital (intensive care, surgery, internal medicine, child psychiatry) as well as in Archet 2 Hospital (pediatric hematology-oncology). Facing financial difficulties, the association recently issued a call for help. Despite several supports, it still needs 13,000 euros to balance its 2024 budget. Part of this amount will be covered by the exceptional subsidy of 6,000 euros that the city of Nice will provide in the coming days.
โThe hospitalization of a child is an ordeal for the whole family, a source of anxiety and uncertainty. It is unthinkable that the association “La Ronde des Clowns” could close next year. Its role goes far beyond mere entertainment, it is essential for the well-being of hospitalized children and their parents. It reduces anxiety, pain, and stress for the little patients, thus contributing to their healing,โ reminded Christian Estrosi.
There are still 7,000 euros to be found to prevent closure. This amount should be partly covered by the ARS PACA. However, the association still needs donations to continue bringing smiles to hospitalized children. You can support “La Ronde des Clowns” by making a donation on their website by clicking here.
