1. Lee Miller – Ellen Kuras

Ellen Kuras, a renowned cinematographer, makes her directorial debut with Lee Miller, a biopic on one of the most fascinating women of the 20th century. Lee Miller is portrayed here by the remarkable Kate Winslet. It’s a dive into the lesser-known history of this extraordinary woman who changed the world’s perception of war. A biopic not to be missed for history and art-house cinema enthusiasts.

The incredible life of Lee Miller, a former Vogue model and Man Ray’s muse who became one of the first female war photographers. She went to the frontlines and was ready to do anything to bear witness to the horrors of World War II, changing the way the world was viewed through her courage and defiance of conventions.

2. Terrifier 3 – Damien Leone

If you love pure and intense thrills, Damien Leone is a name that should already ring a bell. After leaving a mark with the first two installments of Terrifier, he returns with Terrifier 3. Art the Clown, a true living nightmare, hasn’t had his last word yet. The film promises a new dose of extreme horror, and gore fans will be delighted! In almost 20 years, no horror film had been restricted to audiences under 18! Lauren LaVera, still present, establishes herself as a modern-day scream queen.

After surviving the Halloween massacre perpetrated by Art the Clown, Sienna and her brother attempt to rebuild their lives. As the holiday season approaches, they strive to leave the past horrors behind. But just when they think they’re finally safe, Art resurfaces, determined to turn Christmas into a nightmare.

3. The Apprentice – Ali Abbasi

Ali Abbasi, after his success with Holy Spider, immerses us in a satire of American power with The Apprentice. The film takes us through the rise of a certain Donald Trump, depicted in a fascinating and biting manner. The casting is equally prestigious, with Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong (well-known from Succession). Maria Bakalova, who gained fame with Borat 2, also plays a part.

A true dive into the workings of the American empire, The Apprentice traces the ascent to power of young Donald Trump through a Faustian pact with conservative lawyer and political fixer Roy Cohn.

4. The Wild Robot – Chris Sanders

Chris Sanders, the director of Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon, returns with a new animated project, this time diving into an adventure where a robot must face the wilderness. With prestigious voices like Lupita Nyong’o and Pedro Pascal, The Wild Robot promises to move us by exploring themes such as friendship and adapting to a hostile environment. For the young ones, but also for animation enthusiasts who enjoy poignant stories.

After being shipwrecked on a deserted island, a robot must learn to adapt to a hostile environment by gradually forming relationships with the island’s animals.

5. The Story of Souleymane – Boris Lojkine

Boris Lojkine, known for poignant stories about migration journeys (Hope), returns with The Story of Souleymane. A film that moved audiences at the last Cannes Film Festival. Supported by superb performances from its actors (Abou Sangaré), the film tells the story of a young man in search of his roots and a better life, all set against a troubled political backdrop.

While cycling through the streets of Paris delivering meals, Souleymane practices his story. In two days, he must attend his asylum interview, the gateway to securing papers. But Souleymane is not ready.
