Organized for the first time in collaboration with the Crossover festival, the European Night of Museums, renamed “street-food party” for the occasion, brought together more than 2,350 people at the National Museum of Sport around celebration, music, and culture.
The concept was new for the organizers; for 12 hours, two music stages, one outside and the other inside the museum, highlighted the numerous activities offered to both families and fans of this type of music festival.
Starting at noon, four DJs took turns playing in the middle of a food truck village, complemented by several unique stands (vinyl records, vintage products, etc.) and by the inflatable structures usually available to OGC Nice supporters before matches.
Inside, the atmosphere was just as festive, notably with a breakdance competition during the afternoon and numerous innovative workshops conceived by the public department of the National Museum of Sport.
In connection with the temporary exhibition “Corps Sportifs,” presented at the museum until September 16, it was possible, for example, to discover chronophotography, make your own granola bar, or participate in “danced or coached” tours of the exhibitions.
