On Thursday, the Antoine Lacassagne Hospital Center received coloring books created by artist Sylvie T and offered by the Les Amis de Lacassagne Association. These books will be redistributed to the hospitalized children at the Consolata Residential Home.
This Thursday afternoon, the cancer treatment hospital center was presented with 15 signed coloring books, which will be dedicated to children undergoing high-energy proton therapy, who stay an average of five to six weeks at the Consolata Residential Home. The event was attended by Emmanuel Barranger, General Director of the Center, Michelle Boucoiran, President of the Les Amis de Lacassagne Association, and artist Sylvie T.
“Coloring Nice la Belle”
It is the artist from Nice, Sylvie T, who created the coloring book “Nice to Color.” “The idea of the book is to visit the city differently,” she explains. It is a book containing 50 black-and-white drawing sheets of various iconic places in Nice (Promenade des Anglais, Place Masséna), aimed at children aged 8-12. “The children can take the books with them or leave them as a souvenir at Consolata,” adds Sylvie Thibaut, in charge of the management at the Residential Home. They can also participate in the challenge competition organized before the All Saints’ Day holidays by Sylvie T. “I suggest that people color up to 5 drawings, then I will form a small jury, and there will be three prizes that I will offer.”
A lovely project, initiated by the Les Amis de Lacassagne Association
The Les Amis de Lacassagne Association regularly organizes charitable events to help and improve the conditions of patients at the Center. “For the joy of the hospitalized children at the Western site of the institution, we have today offered 15 of these wonderful drawing books to the Antoine Lacassagne Center,” states the Association on their website, Amiscal. This project is one among many others, as the association organizes numerous events, including a charitable concert this Saturday, September 26, at the Royal Hotel.
