According to Bertrand Amar, president of N.E.O. (New Esport Org.), the organization organizing the event, « After a first edition that broke numerous records on a European scale, we have worked on an Evo France 2026 edition that is part of a growth dynamic. This new edition will welcome more players, more visitors, but also more competitions, with no fewer than eight official tournaments as well as a selection of community tournaments on other emblematic titles from the versus fighting scene. »
More places to meet demand
The first European edition, organized in 2025 at the Nice Palace of Exhibitions, welcomed 17,900 visitors, 3,500 competitors from 93 nationalities and generated a digital audience of 1.7 million unique viewers.
For the 2026 edition, the spaces of the Palace of Exhibitions have been renovated to add 1,000 seats per day and to meet strong public demand.
Stuart Saw, CEO of RTS, the parent company of Evo, emphasizes: « We are particularly enthusiastic about returning to Nice. The 2025 Evo France edition exceeded our wildest expectations and we have worked hard to make this 2026 edition even more exceptional. Nice has quickly become the international home for fighting games thanks to the presence of very many nationalities there, and we can’t wait to welcome passionate fans from around the world again. »
Rick Thiher, director of Evo, adds: « Last year, the very first Evo event in Europe proudly demonstrated how the whole world is passionate about fighting game competition. No fewer than 93 countries were represented by players at Evo France, but only 7 of them left as champions. The 2026 edition now offers new opportunities for players to prove themselves, as Evo France returns with more games, more activities and even more opportunities to bring the whole world together around competition. »
Ticketing for Evo France 2026 opened on June 28. Two packages are offered with prices ranging from €521 to €1,132 for the three days.
