It’s a relaxed and approachable Fabien Marsaud who charmed us a few hours before his performance. Although the son of a librarian mother, it is through music that he developed his taste for words. Passionate about language, ingenious with his style, he plays with words with a lot of humor, and his optimistic messages break away from the traditional cliché of the Dionysian artist.
Grand Corps Malade performs on stage with a team of three musicians. His long-time friends accompany the text with minimalist music when the poetry isn’t recited a cappella. The atmosphere is subdued, the lighting effects are omnipresent, and the diction is perfect. For while the lyrics are expertly crafted, the artist’s charisma and articulation live up to his reputation.
