The Femmes en Scènes festival, in its 9th edition, will take place from March 3 to 12 at the Théâtre Francis-Gag and the Espace Magnan.

This multidisciplinary event, born from questioning the place of women in art and culture, offers over ten days a space dedicated to female production with a rich program of theater, dance, concerts, performances, conferences, and exhibitions.

It will be inaugurated this evening at 6:30 PM at the Théâtre Francis-Gag by Jean-Luc Gag, Municipal Councilor for the Theater, Olympia Alberti, writer and godmother of the Festival, and Françoise Nahon, director and organizer of the Femmes en Scènes festival.

At 7:00 PM, there will be a first performance, the video projection of “Butterfly Soul” by the Compagnie Humaine*

“Butterfly Soul” explores and narrates the state of fragility of the artist when creating. At that moment, the artist’s mind acts like a butterfly, flying in a disordered and random manner from one idea to another, between hesitation and brilliance, trying to resist the wind and doubt. “Butterfly Soul” has been selected for numerous international festivals, including the “Short Film Corner” of the 2012 Cannes Festival.

Following at 7:30 PM will be the play “24 Hours in the Life of a Woman” based on Stefan Zweig – 4-women in scene

“24 Hours in the Life of a Woman” is a novella by Austrian writer Stefan Zweig, traversed by a recurring theme: passion. Never before has he shown with such intensity this unknown that hides within each of us, waiting for its moment to emerge and disrupt everything. To adapt this novella for the stage, I have refocused the story on the confession of this woman, which will trigger an internal earthquake and a devastating emotional shock. Her confession thus becomes magnetic and incandescent.
