Rockfest 2026: music at the heart of solidarity in Nice 

Rockfest 1 Max de Bruit 2026 returns to Nice’s Théâtre de Verdure for three exceptional evenings on May 8, 9 and 10, 2026, under the banner of rock and solidarity.

Organized in an iconic setting in the heart of the city, the festival offers a rich programme with 17 bands on stage, classic covers and an atmosphere promised to be electric throughout the weekend. This 12th edition continues to be part of a committed approach, in support of the Sourire à la Vie association, which supports hospitalized children or those with disabilities.

The event will be sponsored by guitarist Norbert Krief and will also welcome singer Manu Lanvin as guest of honour, strengthening the artistic and friendly dimension of the festival.

Accessible from 16 euros, Rockfest aims to be open to all audiences and also provides a PMR space to guarantee inclusive and adapted reception.

Between live music, solidarity commitment and festive atmosphere, Rockfest establishes itself as an essential event for rock lovers on the Côte d’Azur!

A classic of French theatre: Molière’s Tartuffe at TNN 

A must-see classic of French theatre, Tartuffe by Molière is presented this weekend in Nice in a production by Jean Liermier, director of the Théâtre de Carouge.

This satirical comedy powerfully explores themes of hypocrisy, manipulation and power relations, through Tartuffe’s hold over a divided bourgeois family. Supported by a prestigious cast, including Muriel Mayette-Holtz, this contemporary adaptation offers a current reading of the text, supported by stripped-down scenography and acting at the heart of the production.

Food Fiction Club: an atypical cinema evening in Old Nice 

On Friday, May 8, Food Fiction Club takes over the hidden patio of Le Béthel for an unusual cinema evening in the heart of Old Nice.

Programme: the screening of the cult film Sister Act II in the intimate setting of the Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur Church.

From 5 p.m., visitors can enjoy a convivial moment with a bar and snacks before the screening scheduled from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Between warm atmosphere, timeless décor and open-air cinema, this experience promises a true break away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Théâtre de l’Alphabet: an evening between mentalism and immersive investigation

The Théâtre de l’Alphabet welcomes On the Frontiers of Transcendence, an immersive show created by Zatanna.

Blending interactive theatre, mentalism, humour and suspense, this creation plunges the audience into a police investigation outside of time. Spectators travel through different eras, from the Titanic to the misty streets of 1920s London, in a plot where reality and illusion blend together.

Finalist for the “Best Magic Show of the Year 2023” award, this original show by the Alphabet Company transforms spectators into true actors in the story, invited to actively participate in solving the mystery.

Espace Magnan: open house of Nice Conservatoire students

For an afternoon, the stage is given to the young talents of the Nice Conservatoire for a musical open house. This event highlights students, who perform outside the conservatoire walls, in iconic cultural venues in the city, to share their work with a wider audience.

For this first time at Espace Magnan, the public is invited to discover a free concert, where student musicians face the stage, stage fright and the audience’s gaze, in a warm, open and accessible setting for all.

Programme: a moment of artistic discovery featuring varied repertoires, reflecting the diversity of courses and disciplines taught at the Conservatoire, between classical music, contemporary and more personal creations.

Nissa Rugby vs Chambéry: the semi-final at home

The Ballet of Opera Nice Côte d’Azur takes over the Promenade des Anglais for a major open-air classical dance session as part of Everyone to the Opera!

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the public is invited to participate for free in the Open Barre, an initiation accessible to all, led by the professional dancers of the company.

Programme: warm-ups at the barre, discovery of the basics of ballet and a friendly atmosphere overlooking the sea.

Adapted facilities for children will also be provided to allow the youngest to discover classical dance in a fun way!

The day is also marked by shows for young audiences, with theatre, puppets and musical readings accessible to children, in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere.
