Role-playing games have always existed, their genesis was written by Uhter whose participation in game information is significant according to research conducted.
WOW is one of many gems from the company Blizzard entertainment, a leader in entertainment software.
If you discover the world of online gaming through this article, perplexity will not be long in overwhelming you.
World of Warcraft is a social phenomenon in the world of online gaming. Attractive and interactive, it brings together more than a million players in Europe. Different races inhabit worlds such as: Night Elves, humans, hordes, dwarves, undead, tauren and trolls. Classes: warlocks, priests, paladins. Professions: alchemists, fishermen, herbalists. Different worlds; regions, dungeons, major cities.
Players meet through the character they created within their guild, stemming from a faction to evolve in a world as old as ours.
Access is paid. With no time limit. In 2001 a study was conducted with players of another MMORPG on the theme of addiction. 102,000 of them considered their virtual universe to be theirs and even more important than their reality. Aurélien Pfeffer alias Uther previously mentioned who published an article on this subject.
The graphics of World of Warcraft are magnificent. The possibilities are unlimited.
Ultimately, their adventures are also human because let’s not forget, each character is controlled by an enthusiast. For Nice première, the interview of a Tauren named DJENA.
Nice-Première: Is world of warcraft the first MMORPG you have played?
Djena: World of Warcraft is my first MMORPG. I’ve been playing it since the day of its European release in February 2005
NP: How did you learn about this game?
Djena: Basically I played Warcraft 3 with a friend, he told me that Warcraft would be released as an MMORPG and that it would be good to test it together.
One day before its release I went to buy 2 copies one for him and one for me (normal) before the intense desire to already be the next day so I could play it for real
NP: What is your journey as a player?
Djena: It depends on which journey you’re talking about.
If it’s that of a player in the broad sense, I’m a fan of the Final Fantasy series, Zelda, and other games in that style, I’ve tested all consoles. Currently I’m having a blast on the PSP (Editor’s note: PlayStation).
As for WOW, my journey currently boils down to more than 120 days of play in the world of Wow, which is a lot when I think about it.
NP: How many hours per week do you play?
Djena: The question you shouldn’t ask (laughs). To be honest, I don’t know. I think a lot without being able to give a number of hours. It’s certainly excessive just thinking about it.
I can turn the question back on you, how much time does your passion for writing take? Your answer will be identical to mine I think, which is way too much!
NP: (Touché) Could a nightmare for WAWA be a prolonged server outage?
Djena: The worst nightmare isn’t that the server could be down because unfortunately that happens far too often in this game. I would rather say it would be seeing the warrior class I play get deleted from the game by someone who wanted to harm me. I say that because it’s already happened to some of my gaming buddies and honestly, I would never have the courage to start from zero and level up my character again. I think I would quit the game on the spot, that said, I’m crossing my fingers that it never happens
NP: How do you organize yourself with respect to your daily life?
Djena: Oh wow that’s a tough question too!!
Well actually I mostly play in the evening and on weekends.
I tip my hat hugely to my wife because she has a lot of patience with WOW and me. I know she would like me to spend more time with her sometimes, but how to say, I have a team spirit and I don’t like leaving others in the lurch. Our team is organized and each person has a very specific role, if I’m not there they can’t play the same way. Sometimes I allow a carefully chosen person to play my character but I still prefer to experience these adventures with them.
My wife is very tolerant and I’m very grateful to her, I think more than one woman would have already left in her situation. By the way Isa big huge kisses.
NP: What place does WOW have in your life?
Djena: I’m not going to hide it, it’s very big. I love this game even if at times certain events annoy me, but well that’s the game. Currently WOW helps me relieve the day spent at work.
I find people like me who want to advance in this game where each person’s investment must be at the same level.
Taking a step back, I admit I don’t recommend WOW to people who are still in school because I think it can be a cause of school failure, it’s far too demanding.
NP: Who is Djena
Djena: Djena is actually called Djenanou, derived from my nickname Dje attached to Nanou which is the one I gave to my wife since we met.
Djena is a horde warrior on the Hyjal Server.
He is part of the Warsong Fury guild which in my opinion is the best team on the server.
He has a very particular role because he has the luck to be the Main tank in duo with his teammate Gasa.
He is a character who overall is quite discreet, unlike the person who plays him (me in this case), he doesn’t really like to show off his stuff and remains very accessible when asked various technical or equipment questions.
He’s also quite provocative sometimes but he does it for fun.
For those who know the game a bit, he’s fully stuffed t1 and almost fully t2 (just missing the breastplate) he’s preparing a thunderfury (legendary sword).
That’s who Djenanou is.
NP: How many of you are in your guild?
Djena: Actually there aren’t many of us, about 55 players.
We do “dungeons” among ourselves unlike other guilds on our server who are forced to form alliances with each other to do what we do.
NP: Have friendly bonds been formed through WOW?
Djena: Yes absolutely. You could say I appreciate the people I play with. Some more than others for the simple reason that we’ve never been apart for more than 10 months, we still play together, by the way, I want to say hi to Orfee (Paris), Thri (Toulon), Baroque (Brittany) just to name a few.
Now we’re going to try to meet IRL (in real life) in Paris to actually see each other. I can’t wait to see their faces actually, I’m already laughing my head off!!!
NP: If one day you give Djena to another player, will you continue to get updates on him?
Djena: If one day I can’t play anymore, I will leave my warrior to someone who knows how to play him, which considerably restricts the number of candidates, I think I will leave him to someone I love whose name I won’t mention to avoid jealousy.
And as for getting updates I would say no I won’t because it would be more or less awkward for me (I’m a bit sentimental about this character).
NP: Are there player meetings at specific events like a kind of Olympic Games?
Djena: Yes, that said, I’m not going to lie, it’s not the goal of our guild.
We prefer to get the first kills of the bosses before anyone else on our server.
I hope that in the medium term we’ll have the capacity to fight for world first kills.
It’s a personal goal, for now, we’re just aiming to advance quickly.
Our structure and organization allow us to advance properly. With a bit more regularity we could become one of the best French teams, it’s still a sweet dream.
NP: What is your best memory in the world of Blizzard?
Djena: My best memory?
There are tons and tons of them. The best I think is killing the last boss of the “Molten Core” instance.
It was the first challenge completed by our group almost more than 8 months ago.
When I think about it, it was a moment of extreme pleasure months and months of hard work from the whole group, with critical moments where we felt people losing heart.
I only mention one because I could go on for pages and pages.
NP: Does a console adaptation exist?
Djena: No console adaptation exists to date.
NP: What would you like to say to the game designers if you met them?
Djena: That they should listen a bit more to the European community instead of always preferring the American one.
Plus it would be nice if the servers were better quality.
That high level content be more abundant for people who can’t do what we can do.
After that it’s clear that it’s difficult to listen to more than 4 million players.
Finally, they should make efforts in terms of communication.
