“Lecture pour tous welcomes Pascal Ruter”

Latest News

This week, it is the writer Pascal Ruter who will be speaking at the schools and associations in the City of Nice.

Pascal Ruter was born in 1966, in the southern suburbs of Paris, where he lived until he was 18 years old. He has been teaching in secondary education since 1992, mainly in middle schools, currently in Milly la Forรชt, not far from Fontainebleau where he currently lives.

He has been writing since his high school years, but his first published novel, “Le Cล“ur en Braille,” was released in 2012. He has since published around twenty fiction works, among which are “Barracuda For Ever,” “Cut the Line,” and “Ce que diraient nos Pรจres,” novels aimed at both young adult and adult readers. He has also written short stories and series (such as “La Tente dโ€™en face,” “La Famille Cerise,” and “Lola On Ice”) that younger readers enjoy discovering.

Pascal Ruter got to know Nice during the writing of the novel “Yann” (Hachette June 2019), in collaboration with the swimming champion trained at the Nice club: Yannick Agnel. This novel, co-written with another author, explores the adolescence of the future Olympic champion, blending biographical reality with purely fictional events.
