The online radio “Nice Tunes Radio” created in Nice is not a radio station like the others. Indeed, since its inception, it has donated all its profits to help sick children.

The Nice-based radio station Nice Tunes Radio was created in 2018 as an association by Philippe Noyer, a former host at Radio Nice and DJ on the French Riviera. This web radio station plays, 24/7 and 365 days a year, songs from the 60s to the 90s on its website for its 10,000 daily listeners from 77 different countries. Its goal is to share the music from this era through various musical styles ranging from English pop to American rock, including reggae, blues, funk, progressive, and electro.

The radio regularly updates its hits and tunes. Passionate about music, Philippe Noyer is also committed to highlighting lesser-known performers and tracks to introduce them to the public. “My passion for diverse music genres inspired me to share my library by creating a web radio with quality programming, not just the standards and hits everyone hears everywhere,” proclaims the radio’s creator.

In addition to its goal of discovering and rediscovering music from the second half of the 20th century, Nice Tunes Radio has set itself another mission: helping sick children by donating all its profits. The web radio turned to the Lenval Foundation founded in 1888 and recognized as a public utility since 1893. Well-known in Nice, its primary mission is to “receive all children, without any condition of resources or distinction of faith or nationality.”

On February 12, 2019, a year after the creation of Nice Tunes Radio, the Nice radio station handed over a first check of 2,000 euros to the foundation. Since then, it has issued several other checks of the same amount. Philippe Noyer, the founder, has several ambitions for his radio: He wishes to continue expanding his audience by reaching new listeners worldwide to contribute more to the Lenval Foundation.

For 2022 and 2023, he is embarking on organizing benefit concerts with internationally renowned groups and musicians like Genesis Revisited, Steve Hackett, and others with whom he maintains relationships. At the end of these concerts, an amount of 2 to 5 € per ticket will be redistributed to the Lenval Foundation.
