To assist production companies wishing to film in the Alpes-Maritimes and to encourage audiovisual and cinematographic creation in the Maralpine region, the department is launching a call for applications.
It was in 2006 that the department established this fund to aid cinematographic creation and production, in partnership with the National Center for Cinema and Animated Image (CNC). For every €1 contributed by the CNC, the department must contribute €2. Since the creation of this fund, the Alpes-Maritimes have been able to support 83 cinematic and audiovisual projects.
The fund aims not only to encourage audiovisual and cinematographic creation in the Alpes-Maritimes but also to support artistic works that showcase the natural and cultural heritage of the department.
The call for applications is now open for the 2022 session. Applications can be submitted until March 18.
The department announces that, to apply, an artistic, financial, and administrative dossier must be submitted electronically only. The eligible production companies are as follows:
– those submitting a feature film, animation, or documentary project intended for theatrical release.
– those presenting fiction works intended for a first broadcast on television.
