The Institute of Wild Archives (Until May 28, 2012)
This exhibition brings together around thirty contemporary works that all share the common point of offering original and unique archiving systems, both in their form and content. It aims to step out of the usual scientific or historical classifications to explore new means of collecting, restoring, or consulting documents. Each wild archive creates its own institution, its own methods of classification, its specific categories, functions, and uses.
Meetup / Perspective on the Exhibition
An educator from Villa Arson, an art school student, or a staff member from the public service offers insights on a selection of works of their choice among those featured in the exhibition. Open to everyone, these meetings provide an informed perspective allowing each individual to engage with the exhibition.
Every Wednesday and Sunday at 3 p.m. No prior reservation required.
Free and open access.
